Solving the talent shortage problem in Finland - The Indian HR professionals' perspective.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment announced the preparation of a pilot project aiming at attracting specialists and startup entrepreneurs to Finland from New Delhi. Business Finland and the Embassy of India has announced a series of events under the Finland Meets India umbrella. Talent attraction and recruitment of Indian professionals are important topics, contributing, amongst other initiatives, to solve the Finnish talent shortage problems.

The International Chapter of HENRY has an important role to play by giving voice to Indian HR professionals & hiring managers living in Finland to share their best practices and points of views on this topic. It is crucial for us, as an international-minded HR community in Finland, to hear their experiences and reflect collectively on how to attract, hire and retain the best Indian talent.

This session will be filled with practical examples and approaches that can be adopted by any organization in Finland.

Speakers :
Surabhi Bhuskute, a dual career partner, is a University Teacher, Corporate Trainer and HR professional. She is currently working as a Partnership coordinator with Aalto University Summer School team coordinating communications & collaborations with higher education institutes in the Asia pacific region.


Nisha Yadav is a Talent Management professional with a keen interest and focus on Talent attraction from foreign countries. She’s currently working with Helsinki Business Hub as a Talent Advisor on a Talent Boost project for the Greater Helsinki region. In the past, she has worked as an HR and recruitment professional with both contract and permanent recruitment experience. She specializes in IT recruitments but she has also successfully recruited for a large variety of positions across multiple disciplines such as sales and marketing, accounting and finance, education, healthcare etc.

Raghunath Koduvayur holds a MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur. A sales and marketing leader, entrepreneur, and a startup investor, who serves on the board of the Finland-India Trade Association and a member of several advisory boards. Currently, he's building the future of quantum technologies from Finland. In the past, he has founded a predictive shopping startup and successfully led a preventive healthcare startup - Neosmart Health Oy. Vismit Chawla, Vismit Chawla, who moved to Finland in 2020 as a dual career partner, after 2,5 years in Denmark, is a Talent Acquisition professional with extensive experience in the full recruitment life-cycle both on the Indian and Danish markets for critical business needs and niche competencies with global healthcare companies, recruitment agencies and startups. She has a keen interest in the area of Diversity & Inclusion. She is volunteering with Inklusiiv, Nordic Diversify and Women in Tech D&I steering committee.
